(TCS) reported a 5.2 per cent rise in its June quarter net profit to Rs 9,478 crore and failed to meet market estimates.
Q1 revenue grew by 16.2 per cent to Rs 52,758 crore but operating profit margins slid down to 23.1 per cent.
Radhakishan Damani’s DMart’s profit jumped six times to Rs 680 crore and managed to surprise the market. Its revenue from operations was up 93.66 per cent to Rs 10,038.07 crore during the quarter under review against Rs 5,183.12 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
